Gynaecologist for Nava Naroda and Naroda GIDC
For women in Nava Naroda and around Naroda GIDC: gynaecology, pregnancy care, surgery and IVF in one Naroda hospital, with OPD sessions running until 8 pm, Monday to Saturday.
Cosmic Women’s Hospital & IVF Center is on the 3rd floor of The Capital Corporate, near Naroda Muktidham. For families in Nava Naroda, and for women who live or work around Naroda GIDC, that makes it the women’s hospital in their own part of the city. Two consultant gynaecologists, ultrasound, an operation theatre and a registered IVF laboratory all sit in the same building, so a problem that starts at an OPD visit can usually be investigated and treated without being sent elsewhere.
What you can have done here
| What you need | What is done at Cosmic | Led by |
|---|---|---|
| General gynaecology | Irregular or heavy periods, PCOS, white discharge and infections, menopause, Pap smear. Consultation and, where needed, ultrasound in the same visit. | Both consultants |
| Pregnancy care | Routine and high-risk antenatal care, pregnancy scans, normal delivery and caesarean section, with emergency obstetric cover 24 hours a day. | Both consultants |
| Gynaecological surgery | Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for ovarian cysts, endometriosis, fibroids and hysterectomy; hysteroscopic surgery, including removal of fibroids inside the womb up to 3 cm; D&C. | Dr. Rahul Khatri (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy); Dr. Bhargavi Khatri (D&C) |
| Fertility and IVF | Tests for both partners, ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, ICSI and embryo freezing. Semen analysis is done in our own laboratory and reported the same day. | Dr. Bhargavi Khatri, who leads the IVF programme |
| Ultrasound | Pelvic (gynaecological) scans, obstetric scans and colour Doppler, done by the consultants themselves. | Both consultants |
Where robot-assisted surgery is the better choice for a complex operation, Dr. Rahul Khatri performs it at Apollo Hospital, Gandhinagar, where he is attached. There is no surgical robot at Cosmic; the laparoscopic and hysteroscopic work described above is done here. You can read more about how fibroids are treated.

OPD timings that fit a working day
Many women in Nava Naroda and Naroda GIDC work shifts or long office hours, and a clinic that closes at 5 pm is not much use to them. The OPD runs from 10 am to 8 pm, Monday to Saturday, and between the two consultants there is a session open for most of that time.
| Consultant | Morning / afternoon | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| Dr. Rahul Khatri | 10:00 am – 1:00 pm | 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm |
| Dr. Bhargavi Khatri | 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm |
| Sunday | No OPD. Emergency obstetric cover continues 24 hours, every day. | |
If you work in Naroda GIDC and are pregnant
Most women with a healthy pregnancy can keep working. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists advises that the obstetrician should ask about the physical demands of the job and any exposure to hazardous substances, and adjust advice to the individual pregnancy. So at your first pregnancy visit, tell us what your work actually involves.
| At work, do you… | Why we ask | What to bring or tell us |
|---|---|---|
| Handle chemicals, solvents, dyes, pesticides or metals? | Some industrial substances are best avoided or reduced in pregnancy. | The name on the container label or the safety data sheet, if you can get it. |
| Lift heavy loads or stand for long hours? | These can become harder as pregnancy progresses, and advice may change by trimester. | Roughly how long you stand and what you lift in a shift. |
| Work night shifts or rotating shifts? | Sleep and meal timing affect how you feel, and how appointments are planned. | Your usual shift pattern, so visits can be booked around it. |
| Work in heat or loud noise? | Hydration and rest breaks matter more in pregnancy. | What breaks and drinking water are available. |
If you need a note for your employer about antenatal appointments or advice on your duties, ask at the visit. For a pregnancy that needs closer watching, see our page on high-risk pregnancy care.
Two consultants, organised by sub-specialty
Dr. Rahul Khatri (MBBS, MS & DNB Obgy, FMAS) is a consulting obstetrician-gynaecologist and laparoscopic and robotic surgeon, and the hospital’s Director. Dr. Bhargavi Khatri (MBBS, MS Obgy, Gold Medalist, FRM) is a consulting obstetrician-gynaecologist and infertility and IVF specialist. She leads the IVF programme, performs the egg retrievals and embryo transfers herself, and performs deliveries, caesarean sections and D&C. A female attendant stays with every patient throughout her visit. If you would like to know what to expect, read seeing a female gynaecologist at Cosmic and your first visit to a gynaecologist.

What a fertility consultation gives you
Cosmic is registered as a Level 2 ART clinic under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021. A first fertility consultation gives a couple a realistic picture of where they stand, based on her age, her scan and both partners’ reports, and a plan that usually starts with the simplest effective step. Most couples do not start with IVF. We do not publish a success percentage, because a single number cannot describe an individual couple’s chances, and the ART Act sets strict standards for how clinics present themselves. See PCOS and fertility for one common starting point.
One Naroda address for gynaecology, pregnancy, surgery and IVF. OPD Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm, with both consultants available in the evening. Same-day semen analysis reports. Emergency obstetric cover 24 hours. A female attendant with every patient.
