An IVF cycle is not one appointment. Between the first consultation and the embryo transfer there are scans every two or three days, blood tests, injections that have to be given on time, and one morning when you need to be at the hospital early and cannot reschedule. Where the clinic is stops being a detail and becomes the thing that decides whether the cycle is manageable alongside a job and a household.

What is done here

• IVF and ICSI — the full cycle, from stimulation and monitoring through ovum pick-up, fertilisation in the laboratory, and embryo transfer
• IUI — a simpler, less invasive first step where it is appropriate
• Fertility evaluation for both partners, before anything is recommended
• Ovulation induction and follicular monitoring
• Surgical sperm retrieval — MESA, PESA and TESA, for men with azoospermia or an obstructive cause
• Embryo and gamete freezing, and frozen embryo transfer
• Fertility-related surgery — laparoscopy and hysteroscopy where a structural problem needs correcting first

Who treats you

Every cycle is carried out by the team named on the hospital’s ART registration. Dr. Bhargavi Khatri (MBBS, MS Obgy — Gold Medalist, FRM) leads the IVF programme. Dr. Rahul Khatri (MBBS, MS & DNB Obgy, FMAS), the hospital’s Director, handles the surgical side and high-risk obstetric care. The laboratory is run by a clinical embryologist, with a visiting andrologist and a visiting anaesthetist completing the registered team.

Before you decide

Bring whatever reports you already have — previous scans, semen analysis, hormone tests, any notes from an earlier cycle elsewhere. A first consultation is mostly listening and reading. Nobody should be recommending IVF to you before somebody has worked out why you have not conceived.

Costs are explained in full before a cycle begins, in writing, including what is not included. If IUI or a simpler treatment is the reasonable first step in your case, that is what will be recommended.
