A women’s hospital in Naroda with two consulting gynaecologists, an operating theatre, and an OPD that runs from ten in the morning until eight at night.

Most women put off a gynaecology appointment for the same two reasons: it is difficult to get to, and it is difficult to say out loud. Cosmic Women’s Hospital was set up in Naroda so that the first reason, at least, stops being one.

The two doctors

Dr. Bhargavi Khatri — MBBS, MS Obgy (Gold Medalist), FRM. Consulting gynaecologist and IVF specialist. Fertility evaluation and treatment, PCOS and hormonal problems, scanning and monitoring, and general gynaecology. Consulting 1–5 pm and 6–8 pm.

Dr. Rahul Khatri — MBBS, MS & DNB Obgy, FMAS. Director of the hospital. High-risk pregnancy, obstetric care, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Consulting 10 am–1 pm and 5–8 pm.

Some women prefer to see a woman doctor and some do not mind. Say so when you call and the appointment will be arranged accordingly — it is a normal thing to ask for.

The hospital is on Naroda Muktidham Road, reachable within a few minutes from Nikol, Bapunagar, Kubernagar, Thakkarbapa Nagar, Naroda GIDC, Vastral and Odhav. Emergency obstetric cover is available 24 hours.

What a first visit is like

You will be asked about your periods, your history, and what has actually been bothering you. If a scan is needed it is usually done the same visit. If a test is needed you will be told why, what it costs, and what it will and will not tell us. Nothing is decided in a hurry, and you are welcome to bring someone with you.
